For therapists, counsellors, and coaches
Your clients arrive with the groundwork already done
The clients you receive through Evaligned have already completed a validated 25–38 item assessment grounded in established psychological scales, received their pattern archetype and lever-point analysis, and chosen — with explicit consent — to share that material with you. What used to be the first three sessions is now your starting point.
Verification typically completes within 5 business days of receiving your registration and insurance details.
What your client brings to the first session
A pattern read, not just a score
When a client books you through Evaligned and grants data-sharing consent, the following arrives in a single brief — never automatically, always with their explicit choice over what to share:
Six dimension scores (0–100)
Energy & Health, Emotional Balance, Mental Clarity, Relationships & Support, Purpose & Direction, Inner Life & Meaning. Each backed by validated instruments (ERQ, MLQ, Subjective Vitality Scale, Spiritual Well-Being Scale, UCLA Loneliness Scale, RRS).
Cluster scores
Foundation (physical + emotional regulation), Connective (clarity + relationships), Expression (purpose + meaning). Cluster collapse is often more diagnostic than any single dimension reading.
Pattern archetype
One of 16 named patterns with a probabilistic primary, secondary, and tertiary fit (e.g. Exhausted Achiever, Invisible Giver, Quietly Unravelling). Each carries a typical cascade signature and identified lever point.
Central tension
The standing “you want X but fear Y” line synthesised from the client’s own writing across journals, check-ins, and stated values. Confidence-graded (high/moderate/low) with hold-loosely framing on low confidence.
Contextual factors
Four non-scored signals captured at assessment: financial pressure, felt autonomy, life transitions, and access to support. Often the difference between a clinical signal and a situational one.
Stated intention for your session
A short free-text statement the client writes when booking — what they hope to work on with you specifically. Not a diagnosis they’re asking you to confirm, just the door they want to open.
What your client does NOT share by default:raw journal entries, AI Coach conversation transcripts, daily check-in slider history. These remain in the client’s account. Sharing is granular and revocable — see Privacy for the full data flow.
How a referral actually works
Six steps, no platform lock-in
- Client completes their assessment. Free, no account required to start. They receive their pattern report whether or not they ever sign up.
- Client browses the directory. Practitioners are filterable by stream (Clinical / Registered / Complementary), specialty, and location. Verified and Preferred practitioners surface first.
- Client requests a session. They select a session type from your profile, write a short intention, and submit. The booking form pre-fills their name and email if they’re logged in.
- Client grants data-sharing consent (optional). Granular toggles: share scores, share archetype, share AI summary, share check-in themes, share journal themes. They can skip this entirely and just book a discovery call.
- You receive the request by email.Sent to the email you nominate in your profile. Includes the client’s name, email, session type, intention, and — if they consented — a link to their consented summary.
- You take it from there. Booking, payment, and the working relationship sit entirely with you. Evaligned is not in the session, not in the payment loop, and does not touch the clinical relationship.
Bookings are requests, not confirmed appointments. You accept, reschedule, or decline on your own terms. There is no automated calendar holding you to a slot you didn’t agree to.
The methodology, briefly
Built on established research, not invented categories
The Evaligned framework assembles validated psychological constructs into a single diagnostic system. Three coaching modalities — Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy — guide the AI Coach’s tone and intervention shape.
Six validated dimensions
Drawn from Frankl, Seligman, Bowlby, Hayes (ACT), Porges (polyvagal), Ryan & Frederick, Steger, Paloutzian & Ellison, and others. Each dimension carries a published instrument lineage.
Cascade model
Dimensions interact, deplete, and compound — not parallel. The system reads cascade signatures (e.g. Energy collapse → Clarity erosion → Purpose blur) rather than scoring areas in isolation.
Lever-point theory
Identifies the single dimension whose improvement creates the most downstream change for that specific client. Not always the lowest score — often the upstream cause.
Reliable Change Index gating
Score changes are tested against the RCI (Jacobson & Truax, 1991) before being labelled meaningful. Personal SD calibrates after six check-ins. Noise is named as noise.
Safety architecture
The AI Coach knows when to step back
Evaligned is a self-awareness tool, not therapy. The product is designed to recognise its own scope limits and route members to professional support when the right move is no longer self-paced reflection. Critical for any practitioner considering a referral relationship:
Three-tier safety system
Every AI Coach exchange is screened across 11 detection categories. Tier 1 (Support) → normal coaching. Tier 2 (Recommend) → coaching plus once-per-session professional support suggestion. Tier 3 (Refer) → coaching pauses, crisis resources surface, country-specific helplines provided.
Validated micro-screeners
PHQ-2 (Kroenke et al., 2003) and the C-SSRS 2-item screen (Posner et al., 2011) administered conversationally at natural intervention points. 30-day cooldown per screener.
Trauma-aware practice gating
When dissociation signals are active, the AI Coach blocks dangerous somatic practices (breathwork, body scanning, energy clearing) and offers grounding alternatives instead. Practitioner support is recommended.
Dependency monitoring
Five-tier session frequency cap. At 3+ conversations/day the Coach shifts to reflective prompts. At 5+/day it sets a firm boundary and recommends real-world support. Safety override allows continued access when concern signals are present.
Third-party harm path
Disclosures of harm to a child, partner, elder, or vulnerable person trigger a separate response with mandatory-reporting and category-specific resources (1800RESPECT, Hourglass, Childhelp, Butterfly, ANAD, EMDR International).
Quarterly red-team auditing
The safety detection layer is adversarially tested every quarter against a 182-case corpus across 15 attack categories. Current pass rate: 93.4% regex-layer. Known gaps documented and tracked.
What this means for you:if a client you’ve referred is ever escalated by the safety system, they will be told — clearly — that the right next step is contacting their practitioner or a crisis line. Evaligned does not attempt to manage clinical-grade risk inside the product.
What they might be working on alongside you
Twenty-two pathway topics, three depths each
Evaligned offers structured self-paced programmes across twenty topics, each available in three tiers. Knowing roughly what your client is engaging with helps you reinforce or redirect from your own work, without needing to learn the system from inside.
Designed to surface the pattern. No commitment to long structure. Right for pre-contemplative or contemplative readiness (Prochaska & DiClemente). Often where a referred client begins.
Daily structured work. Morning intention + evening reflection split. Weekly review checkpoints with dimension re-scoring. Right for preparation to action stages.
Deep change work with progressive scaffolding withdrawal (Vygotsky ZPD, Self-Determination Theory). Final week includes relapse-prevention plan (Marlatt & Donovan). Right for action and maintenance stages.
Topics span burnout recovery, career transition, new parenthood, relationship breakdown, returning to self, high-performer plateau, inner life, grief to growth, boundaries and self-worth, connection and loneliness, nervous system regulation, environment design, financial stress, chronic illness adjustment, faith transition, and professional identity loss.
Reading the report your client shares
A practitioner’s clinical interpretation guide
Score ranges, flag meanings, when ambiguity is itself the diagnostic signal, when low scores warrant clinical follow-up, and where self-report scales hit their limits. A standalone reference you can bookmark.
Verification tiers
Trust, earned in two stages
Self-service verification
ABN, current professional registration, current professional indemnity insurance with at least 90 days remaining, completed declarations. Admin reviews against the credentials checklist and confirms. Typically 5 business days from submission.
- Surfaced in directory above unverified profiles
- +20 boost in dimension-matched recommendations
- Verified badge on your public profile
Curated tier
Verified status plus reference checks (two professional references) plus a brief interview with the founder. Reviewed for alignment with the Evaligned framework, ethical practice, and demonstrated outcomes. Application reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Top placement in directory and dimension matches
- +50 boost in dimension-matched recommendations
- Preferred badge (gold) on public profile
- Eligible for featured editorial placements
Important: verification is not endorsement of clinical competence. It is a documentary check that your registration, insurance, and declarations are in good standing. Clients are reminded — clearly — that they are responsible for confirming a practitioner is the right fit for their needs.
Privacy and data handling
Granular consent, revocable, expiring
- Australian Privacy Act 1988 + Australian Privacy Principles. Plus UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and CCPA where applicable. See /privacy for the full statement.
- Five granular consent toggles per practitioner share: share_scores, share_archetype, share_ai_summary, share_checkin_themes, share_journal_themes. Default is all off — the client opts in, item by item.
- Auto-expiring consent.90 days from grant, extendable on session activity. Soft-deletable on revocation. You will not have indefinite access to a client’s data after engagement ends.
- Data residency. Primary storage in Supabase (AWS Sydney region for Australian accounts). AI processing via OpenAI (US) under their data processing agreement. Disclosed in the privacy statement clients accept.
- What you do NOT see by default.Raw journal entries, full AI Coach transcripts, daily check-in slider history. These stay in the client’s account. Aggregated themes only — and only with explicit toggle.
- Client-driven export and deletion. Members can export or delete their full data set on request via the account page. You will be notified if a client revokes consent during an active engagement.
What it costs you
Nothing — and no commission either
Listing in the practitioner directory is free. There is no monthly fee, no listing fee, and no per-referral commission. Evaligned does not take a percentage of what you charge your clients. Bookings, payments, and the clinical relationship sit entirely with you.
Why no kickbacks: a referral fee structure compromises clinical neutrality. The directory should surface the right practitioner for the client, not the practitioner who pays the most. If Evaligned ever introduces paid features for practitioners (analytics, profile enhancements, scheduling integrations), they will be optional and disclosed transparently — never tied to directory ranking.
Sustainability note: Evaligned is funded by member subscriptions (Essential AUD $9/mo, Premium AUD $19/mo). The practitioner directory is a member benefit, not a revenue line.

Three formats you can adapt and send
If you’d like to refer one of yourclients into Evaligned — for the assessment, a self-paced pathway, or to encourage them to use the directory to find someone with different specialties — here are three short formats. Adapt the language to match your voice and your client’s context.
For a therapist or counsellor recommending Evaligned to a current client
Hi [Client name], Following our session today, I wanted to share a tool I think could support the work we're doing. Evaligned is a six-dimension self-assessment that maps how the different areas of your life are interacting — energy and health, emotional balance, mental clarity, relationships, purpose, and inner meaning. The output identifies which area is most likely the upstream cause of what you're experiencing now. It's not a substitute for our sessions, and it isn't therapy. It's a structured way to surface patterns between sessions that we can then work with together. The assessment is free and takes about ten minutes: https://www.evaligned.com/assessment If you find the report useful, the optional pathways (7, 30, or 90-day self-paced programmes) can be a way to maintain momentum on the work we discuss. Warmly, [Your name]
For a coach recommending the assessment as an intake tool
Hi [Client name], Before our first session, I'd like you to complete the Evaligned assessment and share the results with me. It takes about ten minutes and gives us a structured starting point grounded in established psychology research, which means we can spend our session time on the work itself rather than building a baseline from scratch. Take it here: https://www.evaligned.com/assessment When the report appears, you'll have the option to share specific elements with me (your dimension scores, pattern archetype, and a brief AI-generated summary). You choose what to share, and you can revoke that access at any point. Looking forward to working together. [Your name]
For a GP, allied health practitioner, or EAP referring on
To whom it may concern, I am writing to suggest [Patient name] explore Evaligned (www.evaligned.com), a structured self-assessment and self-paced psychoeducation tool covering six dimensions of psychological wellbeing. The assessment draws on validated instruments including the Meaning in Life Questionnaire, the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, the Subjective Vitality Scale, and the UCLA Loneliness Scale. The associated coaching material is grounded in Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy. Evaligned is explicitly not a substitute for therapy or clinical care, and includes built-in safety routing to professional support for users showing signs of clinical-grade distress. I am suggesting it as a complementary tool to clarify the focus of our continuing work together. Regards, [Your name + credentials]
Practitioner FAQ
The questions practitioners ask before joining
Clinical fit and scope
Where does Evaligned fit alongside therapy or coaching?
Adjunctively. Evaligned is designed to surface and structure the between-sessions self-awareness work that often eats the first three sessions of a clinical or coaching relationship. The product takes care of pattern identification, score-tracking, and psychoeducation; the practitioner-client relationship handles the clinical and relational work that an AI tool shouldn’t and can’t do.
Is Evaligned a substitute for what I offer?
No, and the product is explicit about this on every surface a member sees. The Disclaimer page, the AI Coach’s system prompt, the safety detection layer, and the dependency monitoring are all built around the assumption that Evaligned must complement professional care, not replace it. The five-tier session frequency cap actively discourages members from using the AI Coach as a substitute for a real therapeutic relationship.
What is and isn’t Evaligned designed for?
Designed for:sub-clinical to mild distress, life-stage transitions, values clarification, building daily/weekly self-reflection practice, identifying patterns the member hasn’t named yet, and consolidating insights between professional sessions.
Not designed for: active suicidal ideation, acute psychotic episodes, current eating disorder treatment, family violence requiring safety planning, severe trauma without a therapist, or any presentation requiring clinical risk management. The safety detection layer routes members in these states to professional support immediately.
When should I refer my client to Evaligned vs to a different practitioner?
Evaligned is most valuable when a client knows something is off but can’t name the pattern, when they need help maintaining momentum between your sessions, or when they’re curious about a structured framework but not ready for additional clinical engagement. It’s less appropriate as a first-line response to acute distress — refer to a clinician in those cases.
Liability and professional risk
Am I liable for what the AI Coach says to my client?
No. Evaligned is provided to members under its own Terms and Disclaimer. Members accept these directly when creating an account. The AI Coach’s outputs are not provided on your behalf, do not constitute clinical advice, and your professional registration is not extended to cover the product. Practitioners listed in the directory are independent professionals; Evaligned is not a clinical service provider.
Do I need to disclose Evaligned to my professional indemnity insurer?
Standard practice is to disclose any platform through which you receive client referrals. Most professional indemnity policies cover work obtained via referral platforms without specific endorsement. If your policy excludes digital intermediaries, contact your insurer. We can provide a brief description of the referral mechanism for your records on request.
Can my client’s Evaligned data be subpoenaed?
Evaligned holds member data subject to Australian law. Properly issued legal process can compel disclosure, as it can for any digital service. Members are informed of this in the Privacy statement they accept. Practitioner-side: the data your client shares with you via the consent flow becomes part of your practice record and is governed by your professional record-keeping obligations, not Evaligned’s.
Data sharing and consent
What does my client share with me when they refer themselves?
By default, the booking request includes their name, email, chosen session type, and a short intention statement. Anything beyond that is optional and explicit. The member chooses, item by item, whether to share scores, archetype, AI summary, check-in themes, or journal themes. They can also book without sharing any Evaligned-side data at all and treat your session as standalone.
Can my client revoke consent? What happens to data I’ve already seen?
Yes — at any time via their account page. Once revoked, Evaligned removes your read-access to the consented summary. Data you’ve already viewed and recorded in your own practice notes is governed by your professional record-keeping obligations and is yours to manage. Consent also auto-expires 90 days from grant unless extended by session activity.
Is data shared with me protected by Australian Privacy Principles?
Yes. Evaligned is bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Cross-border transfers (e.g. AI processing in the US) are disclosed in the Privacy statement and conducted under appropriate data processing agreements. Your own handling of client data once it reaches you is governed by your professional code of conduct.
AI safety and escalation
How does Evaligned handle a client who discloses suicidal ideation?
Immediate trigger phrases (suicide, self-harm, plan to die) bypass the score accumulator and route directly to Tier 3 — coaching pauses, country-specific crisis lines surface (Lifeline 13 11 14 AU, 988 US, Samaritans 116 123 UK, findahelpline.com worldwide), and the response is grounded, brief, and oriented toward safety. Validated micro-screeners (PHQ-2, C-SSRS 2-item) may be administered conversationally at natural intervention points. The Coach explicitly recommends professional support and, where appropriate, encourages the member to contact their existing practitioner.
Will Evaligned alert me if my referred client shows concerning patterns?
Not currently — and this is a deliberate design decision pending stronger consent infrastructure. Routing concerning signals from a digital tool to a practitioner without case-by-case affirmative consent risks both over-disclosure and under-disclosure. We are scoping an opt-in “safety copy” flow for members who want their nominated practitioner contacted in defined circumstances. Until that ships, the Coach’s built-in escalation is to recommend the member reach out to their practitioner themselves.
What is the escalation pathway for a client at risk?
In sequence: (1) AI Coach recognises concern signal and shifts response to safety-first frame; (2) crisis resources surface in-conversation; (3) coaching pauses on Tier 3; (4) for third-party harm disclosures, mandatory-reporting resources surface; (5) repeated patterns are recorded in the coaching profile for cross-session memory; (6) Sentry alerts fire for the operations team to review (no PII transmitted). Members are never left in a Tier 3 conversation without explicit grounding and helpline information.
Verification and trust
What’s the difference between Verified ✓ and Preferred ✓✓?
Verified is documentary: ABN, registration, insurance, declarations, reviewed by admin. Preferred is curated: Verified status plus reference checks plus an interview with the founder, reviewed for alignment with the Evaligned framework. Preferred practitioners receive top placement and additional matching boost. Both badges are visible on your public profile.
How long does verification take?
Verified: typically 5 business days from receiving complete documentation. Preferred: rolling — application reviewed, reference checks completed, then founder interview scheduled. Usually 3–6 weeks end-to-end depending on reference availability.
Can I lose verification?
Yes — if your registration lapses, your insurance expires without renewal, or substantiated complaints raise professional concerns. We will contact you before any change is made and provide an opportunity to address. Soft-deactivation removes the badge but preserves your profile data; full removal is also available on request.
Practical operations
How do clients actually book me? What does the request look like?
Clients select a session type from your profile (you define types, prices, durations, formats), write a short intention statement, and submit. You receive an email at your nominated booking address with their name, email, session type, intention, referral source, and — if consented — a link to the consented summary. From there, you handle scheduling and payment directly using whatever system you already use.
Is there a referral fee, commission, or revenue split?
No, none of those. Listing is free. There is no per-booking commission, no monthly fee, and no revenue share. Evaligned is funded by member subscriptions; the practitioner directory is a member benefit. We avoid kickback structures specifically because they would compromise clinical neutrality in the matching algorithm.
Can I edit my profile? Can I take it down?
Yes to both. Your dashboard at /practitioner/dashboard allows you to edit your bio, photo, location, modalities, specialties, session types, and booking email at any time. To remove your profile, set your status to inactive (hides from directory while preserving data) or contact us for full deletion.
How much admin time does this add?
Initial profile setup: 30–45 minutes. Verification documentation upload: 15 minutes. Ongoing: time to respond to booking requests as they arrive (each takes a minute or two), and quarterly review of your profile content. There is no calendar integration or scheduling layer — bookings remain entirely on your own systems.
Brand association
Can I publicly say I’m an Evaligned practitioner in my marketing?
Yes — and we encourage it for Verified and Preferred practitioners. You may use the “Verified Practitioner” or “Preferred Practitioner” language in your bio, on your website, and in collateral, with a link back to your Evaligned profile. Please do not imply Evaligned endorses your clinical practice or refer to yourself as an “Evaligned therapist/counsellor/coach” — the working relationship with your client is yours, not ours.
Specialised cases
Does Evaligned work with people under 18?
No. Account creation requires age 18+. The framework, language, and safety protocols are all designed for adult populations. Practitioners specialising in under-18 work are welcome in the directory for adult clients who refer their family members, but Evaligned itself is not a tool for minors.
How is Evaligned’s AI different from generic ChatGPT-style coaching?
The AI Coach operates inside a tightly scoped system prompt grounded in Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy methodology. It has access to the member’s assessment scores, archetype, pathway progress, and coaching profile (cross-session memory of what works for them). It runs continuous safety screening (11 detection categories, validated micro-screeners), trauma-aware practice gating, and dependency monitoring. It is not a general-purpose conversational AI given a coaching hat — it is a purpose-built tool with substantive guardrails. Quarterly red-team auditing tests the safety layer against an adversarial corpus.
